Will this work with my finance existing integration?

This product is separate and independent of finance integrations which will remain unchanged. The two do not interact. However you are still available to use this function alongside a finance integration. 

Can I use my existing card merchant account?

No, this solution is through PayPal who will process all transactions outside of your existing merchant account.

What is the process for reserving a vehicle?

Once a customer has decided on which vehicle they would like to reserve, they will click the Reserve It Now button on the listing. The customer will be given the option to pay via PayPal or via credit/debit card. When they have gone through the payment process successfully, you will both receive a confirmation email. 

What happens when a vehicle is reserved?

The listing is updated to ‘reserved’ automatically. You will need to contact the customer to arrange payment of the remaining balance, and collection of the vehicle. 

How long is the vehicle reserved for?

The vehicle is reserved for 7 days for the customer to collect. We advise that you try to collect the remaining balance of the vehicle, secure finance, or agree a part exchange value within that time frame.

What happens if the reservation goes past the 7 day period?

This will be down to you to liaise with the buyer and if you wish to leave the vehicle reserved for longer. It will remain ‘reserved’ in the listings until you mark the vehicle as ‘Sold’ or put it back to ‘Active’. If they wish to cancel their reservation or you have been unable to make contact we would suggest refunding their payment and marking the vehicle as available. 

What happens if two people try to reserve a car at the same time?

Whichever payment is processed first will reserve the vehicle. The other party will receive a message that the payment has been unsuccessful.

Can I change the reservation fee amount?

Spidersnet recommends a reservation fee of £99 per vehicle.  You are able to request a change of the fee by contacting our Spidersnet Support team, with your preferred reservation fee amount.

How will I know if a customer has reserved a vehicle?

Both you and the customer will receive an email confirmation that a reservation fee has been paid against the individual vehicle. The email will have the customer details on for you to contact them.

What do I need to do to get Reserve It Now integrated onto my website?

Firstly, you will need to set up a business PayPal account.
